Video Transcript
stop taking so much stuff with you and
you don't need it
you pick up your bag you walk off the
plane
nothing to declare
out the airport you're gone
hey just before the video starts i've
written a little guide on remote working
uh it's free you can check it out in the
description just talks about why you'd
want to do this what to look for in a
job a couple of recommendations for
platforms so you can find one i think
it's the best way to live so if i can
help more people do it amazing
enjoy the
video one of the main benefits of only
taking one bag with you
is that it can slot underneath the seat
on the plane
you don't need to check anything in
as soon as the plane lands and
everyone stops crowding in the aisle you
pick up your bag you walk off the plane
nothing to declare
out the airport you're gone
other people they have to stand by the
carousel with the luggage going around
everyone's bumping into each other you
pay extra on the plane
to check that baggage
they have to wait an extra 20 minutes
half an hour sometimes longer if you're
in a big airport like heathrow
one bag
the one i have now is a 35 liter north
face i'll put a picture on the screen
fits on my back real easy it never gets
heavy
especially if you are
traveling with limited items you really
don't need that much you see people
they have a huge hiking rucksack on
their back
and then a full
smaller normal sized rucksack on their
front and they end up looking really
ridiculous actually
not to mention they have to check these
bags in every time
and i know it's probably not going to
happen
it's probably not going to happen
but i'm always scared when i check a bag
in
that someone's going to put something in
my bag
whereas
if you have it on you constantly
you can keep an eye on it you know where
it is it can't get lost
if you lose it it's because you are the
fool
not there's an error with their
logistics systems
no one's gonna put something in your bag
because if you let it out your site
you're a fool because if you
leave your bag in an airport people get
freaked out so why would you even do
this
35 liters
i can fit running shoes in there
changes of clothes i have clothes for a
full week
my laptop
kindle
really you're traveling you're here to
like see the place what more do you need
essentially one of the benefits of
being comfortable with a little bit of a
minimalist
setup for traveling
it's it's all fits in one bag
so you don't pay some of the flights
checking in a bag is 35
quid
one thing i also do is i have the laptop
bag
which is just a small thin cover for the
laptop but it's got enough space in the
front pocket that i can keep all the
other electrical stuff that i have
and anything that i'd want to do on the
flight
like journaling or reading
and so if i'm ever in a situation which
i've never had it looks like a backpack
and it fits in the seat
so but if i'm ever in a situation where
they say sorry sir
you're gonna have to check that bag in
right as i'm about to board the plane
you know and they put the sticker around
the handle and they take it off and
you're like okay
well i might might never see that bag
again
if i have to do this i just unzip
take the bag take the laptop bag out
whack the padlock on the main bag
it's gone
fine and then i just got this small
laptop thing
luckily that's never actually happened
because they see you just with one
backpack and they
they think i've even weighed it at the
airport before and my entire setup
without the laptop in there it's 8.5
kilograms including the bag with the
laptop it's about 10.
10 kilos of luggage i've even got coats
in there that i don't really need
because i'm in hot countries but i'm
fond of the coat so i'm not going to get
rid of it
i'll do another video on
the actual stuff that i bring
and this is for a guy so i have
like two shirts some t-shirts shorts
trousers running stuff
you really don't need more than that
especially when you're traveling for
girls
people say oh it's different i'm a girl
i need more stuff but actually
i don't think that's true
i really don't think that's true
especially girls clothes are slightly
smaller
than guys shirts
so yeah
cut the amount of stuff that you bring
think about
you have to lug all of that stuff around
you have to carry it everywhere you have
to pack it if you're in a dorm room
you have to
store it and six other people have got
their massive bags with you
there's no space on the floor even if
you're in a private room like i am
sharing with one other person
he's got a ginormous suitcase
why do you need this you don't need the
massive suitcase
just take a backpack
go and be in the place rather than spend
your time
organizing your stuff and
trying on different outfits
yeah so the one i have right now is the
north face duffel
it's pretty good it's super sturdy
i'll do a bag review on it
the major downside is it doesn't have a
bottle holder on the outside i think
that was a real
a real
short-sighted mistake that they made if
they know people are traveling with it
why don't you put a bottle holder on the
side
anyway
yeah just take one bag it's cheaper it's
faster it's more secure
you look cooler
you don't look like a turtle with a
front growth as well
less to lose
it's easier to carry
oh the list is endless well
stop taking so much stuff with you and
you don't need it
