this one is on caffeine and anxiety and
this is a really fast way of getting a
bit more productive during the day
caffeine is the most widely used
psychoactive substance in the world
and this seems really obvious but when
you think about
its potential effect if you take too
much which is increased anxiety
nervousness lack of focus it's pretty
crazy how much we slam down sometimes
i'm having like five or six
coffees in a day
before it's even four o'clock and
imagine what it does to your sleep
so i love drinking it throughout the day
but i kept getting anxious at around 12
because i've had three or four coffees
before it's even got to midday
then in the afternoon i'd find it hard
to concentrate
i started adding caffeine free
tea and coffee they look like this
that's just caffeine free coffee
caffeine free tea
in fact i've got them here
this one's really good it's like instant
caffeine free coffee yes caffeine free
tea
it's available in most places it's
usually the same price
and the purpose was not
to go completely caffeine free
it tastes the same
you probably couldn't tell in a blind
taste test
what has happened since i started doing
this and
bearing in mind i didn't replace
everything
at the first two or three drinks in the
morning are now caffeine free that's
because you wake up you don't really
need caffeine you think you do but
actually like your adrenal system is
working ready
so you don't really need it in the
morning you should be well rested
um so start replacing the first two or
three
with caffeine caffeine-free
and
now i don't have anxiety in the
afternoon
um
my concentration in the afternoon is
better
and the major thing is i drink as many
tea and coffee as i want to throughout
the day
do i still drink caffeine yes
usually between 12 and 2 i try and stop
after two
the earlier you can stop throughout the
day so that you're not um
impacting your sleep later
the better
